Chile : Tours : Wonders of General Carrera Lake

This 4 day program will take you to the largest lake in Chile and the beautiful surrounding landscape. You will be able to visit the famous "Capilla de Marmol", fly over the Northern Ice Fields, Mount San Valentin and the San Rafael Lagoon. You will also be able to do many activities: horse back rides, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, etc.

Day 1. Balmaceda - Coyhaique - Terra Luna (In)
Departure from Coyhaique or reception at Balmaceda airport. We follow the Austral road to Puerto Guadal. On the way, we do a boat excursion (if possible) to the “Capilla de Mármol”, fantastic maze of caves drawed by the millenary waves of the lake. Arrival to Puerto Guadal. Welcome drinks and overnight in Terra Luna lodge on the shore of Lake General Carrera.

Day 2. Terra Luna
Full day in the area of Puerto Guadal where you can enjoy several excursions (Baker river, lakes fossils, glaciers, etc...) and activities like trekking, mountain biking, horse back riding, fishing, etc… (see description of activities and excursions).

Day 3. Terra Luna
Idem  day 2.

Day 4. Terra Luna - Chile Chico - Balmaceda/ Coyhaique (Out)
Transfer to Chile Chico, following an extraordinary road. Arrival to Chile Chico. Transfer to the airport and local flight to  Balmaceda or Coyhaique. Arrival to Balmaceda to take the connecting flight back to Santiago or arrival in Teniente Vidal airport and transfer to the hotel (hotel not included). End of services.

Optional Excursions

For those who want to live a unique experience, we highly recommend:

• Jet boat excursions on rivers Leones, Soler, and Nef to live a great adventure, an unforgettable experience and reach the glaciers that come from the icefield.
• A flight over the Northern Icefields and Mount Saint Valentin (4057m) to San Rafael Lagoon (optional). This option is actually the cheapest to visit that National Park.Plane can pick you up close to Terra Luna.

The Program Includes

• Transfers to/from Balmaceda or Coyhaique (Local Flight OUT Chile Chico – Balmaceda or Coyhaique. Available only Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, maximum capacity 05 people. For groups higher than 5 pax, or operated other day than those in wich flight are available, both transfers IN & OUT will be done by land).
• 05 Lodgment night in Terra Luna with full board included.

Recommended Flights

• In Flight: Arriving Balmaceda before 12:00 hrs. (mid day)
