Another ski center enclosed in the slopes of a volcano is Las Araucarias (Llaima Volcano). Set in a natural framework beyond compare, the Conguillio National Park offers its visitors four ski lifts, a cafeteria, equipment rentals, classes, and lodging at the base: the Apart Llaima, and the Refugio Los Paragüas (second floor of the cafeteria), el Refugio El Pehuén y el Edificio Las Araucarias.
The extensive skiable surface of 350 hectares is ideal for all levels of skiers: beginners, advanced, and experts. The maximum altitude is 1,950 meters asl. and the minimum is 1,550 meters asl.
Besides accommodations, the ski center offers guests a ski school, equipment rentals, a coffee shop and restaurant.
