La Parva Ski Center

La Parva Ski Center

Situated at an altitude of 2,700 m, this ski center offers a quality that no other resort can offer: from here you can see the valley of Santiago in all its magnitude. 

Moreover, it also offers an infrastructure aimed at providing tourists and sportsmen from all around the world with everything they require. With 14 runs of different lengths and vertical drops, it offers a variety of alternatives for all types of skiers. The drops vary between 30mts and 983mts and the length between 1,393mts and 280mts. 

As with other centers, there are also the necessary facilities available to enjoy snowboarding and helisking.

Villa La Parva has all the services that visitors can need: accommodation, restaurants, equipment rental, ski school, bar, transportation, cafeteria, club, medical clinic and parking.

Together with the Colorado-Farellones and Valle Nevado resorts, it forms the greatest ski area in South America.

How to get there
Leaving Santiago towards the West (Avda. Kennedy and Avda. Las Condes), take the road to Farellones. The road is paved and it is 35km to Farellones and another 6 more to La Parva. 
Traffic is controlled by police and it is obligatory to carry snow-chains. Between 8:00 hrs and 14:00 hrs. traffic can only go up and between 14:00 hrs and 20:00 hrs can only go down. See Transport

Slopes and Ski-Lifts

Map of slopesLa Parva has four types of ski runs: green for beginners, blue for intermediates, red for advanced and black for experts, whose vertical drops range between 30 and 983 mts. They are prepared during the night by machines - swept and leveled - so that all slopes are in their optimum condition each and every day.

As well as this, La Parva has some hectares which are not maintained and therefore contain virgin snow.

The center has 14 lifts: 2 quadruple seats, 1 triple seat, 1 double seat and 10 surface (platter) lifts.

Tickets

There are 3 places where you can buy ski passes in the center, and they are situated in the Hosteria La Parva, and at the bottom of the Alpha (triple seat) lift and Manzanito lift.

High Season: From July 05th to August 15th, as well as Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays throughout the season.
Low Season: Remaining times (from Monday to Friday).

Ski School

The La Parva ski school consists of 50 national and international instructors of the highest level, who give lessons to children and adults from beginner level to competition level in all disciplines. Classes, both individual and group are offered every day from 09:00 hrs on the Parva Chica and Golondrina slopes. The school also offers the services of a Ski Guide who can accompany you on or off the ski runs.

It highlights that groups classes for beginners which include lift ticket on low slopes.

For children between 5 and 12, the Mini-school has special instructors who teach the fundamentals of skiing as well as perfecting technique. This service lasts half a day or the entire day, include lift ticket and a meal for those taking the full day lessons.

Equipment Rental

If you need to rent skis or snowboards, the Ski Rental offers different alternatives for children or adults, beginners or experts. It also offers a repair service for boards and skis.

In La Parva is also La Bolsa del Ski shop, which specializes in snow sports. Here, you can find all the equipment, accessories and clothes necessary for all snow sports practiced here as well as knowledgeable personnel who will help you find exactly what you need.

Where to Eat

There are 5 restaurants at the center. At the base of the slopes are La marmita de Pericles, Au Bon Pain and Hostería La Parva. On the slopes are La Golondrina and 3.100.

Restaurant La Marmita de Pericles Specializes in fondue and raclettes with a warm and welcoming mountain atmosphere.
El Manzano Situated in La Golondrina ski resort, you can count on a grand variety of first class meats and seafood.
Hostería La Parva Specializes in sandwiches and set menus.
La Pirka de Piuquenes Restaurant situated in the Piuquenes mountain top, open only on the weekend and the Chilean winter break during the season. The restaurant specializes in seafood.
3.100 At the summit of the Alpha lift, 3.100 specializes in sandwiches, soups and kebabs.
