Laja Lagoon National Park

|
A beautiful park
of 11,600 hectares (25,520 acres), its main attraction is the
lagoon that gives the park its name. It reflects an emerald green
color and is bordered by irregular shores of volcanic ash and
sediment. From it's heights, the dominant Antuco Volcano watches
over this beautiful park, rich with vegetation, where mountain
cypresses and ancient araucaria trees are prevalent in the landscape.
Glaciers and waterfalls also make up part of the scenery.

eighth region of Bío-Bío, 212 km (132 mi) east of Concepción.
86 km (54 mi) east of Los Ángeles.

How to get there
Santiago-Los
Ángeles: by land. From Los Ángeles take the Antuco road
towards the east, and from this village towards the
park. The last part is half paved and half unpaved.
