The story begins when a group of tourists crossed the Andes Mountains through a frontier pass, joining Peulla in the Chilean side with Bariloche in Argentina. This is an ecological adventure not to be missed. In this Program, you will have the chance of sailing four different lakes: Llanquihue, Todos los Santos, Fríasand Nahuel Huapí.

Day 1: Puerto Montt – Todos Los Santos Lake- Peulla
Check in at the Lakes Crossing office in Puerto Varas at 8:00 in the morning.
After that, we´ll leave for Petrohué, going along Llanquihue Lake. In Petrohué we´ll start sailing on Todos los Santos Lake to get to Peulla, Ecological Villa, and a time to have dinner. The rest of the day is free with accommodations at the Hotel.

Day 2: Peulla –Nahuel Huapi Lake– San Carlos de Bariloche
In the morning, we´ll leave for Puerto Frias where we´ll go to the Chilean Customs and leave Chile. We´ll continue sailing on Frias Lake until we get to Puerto Alegre where we´ll take a bus to Puerto Blest. Here we´ll go to Cántaros Falls and have time to eat lunch (not included). In the afternoon we´ll begin sailing again on Nahuel Huapi Lake towards Puerto Pañuelos. When we arrive there, we'll take a bus to the Argentinean Customs then continue on to Bariloche. We´ll arrive at the Lakes Crossing offices in Bariloche.

Excursions

From Puerto Varas to Peulla.
The crossing begins early in the morning from Puerto Varas named the "City of Flowers". From this point the trip continues towards Petrohué, going along the Llanquihue Lake. From here we can see the imposing views of the Osorno Volcano and Calbuco that dominate the landscape. We´ll enter the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park where we can go to the Petrohué water falls, volcanic rock covered by emerald green water. After a rest in Petrohué, a catamaran will take us to Peulla, sailing on Todos los Santos Lake. If the weather permits, we´ll be able to see the Osorno Volcano Puntiagude Hill and Tronador Hill. The catamaran will take us to the Ecological Villa in Peulla, a paradise for nature lovers.

From Peulla to San Carlos Bariloche.
On the second day of the trip we´ll go to Puerto Frías by bus to the Chilean Customs on our way out of the country and finally cross the Andes mountains at 976 meters above sea level. The journey to the Argentinean side of this adventure is down a curvy road to Puerto Frías then we´ll sail on Frías Lake to Puerto Alegre. At Puerto Alegre a bus will take us to Puerto Blest where we´ll go to the Cántaros falls.
From Puerto Blest the participant will do one last sail towards Puerto Pañuelo on Nahuel Huapi Lake. At Puerto Peñuelo a bus will take us to our final destination, the "Tourist City of Argentina", Bariloche. This is a city offering many activities for tourists in both winter and summer with ski centers, commercial centers, restaurants and its night life.

Optional Excursions

You can do the Lakes Crossing program in 1 day. This program leaves from Puerto Montt at 8:00 AM and arrives in Bariloche at 9:30 PM. The program can also be done from Bariloche to Puerto Varas during the Spring – Summer season. Does not include accommodations or board. Note

• The program does NOT include transfers from the Puerto Varas hotel to Puerto Montt from the Lakes Crossing Office in Puerto Varas. It also doesn´t include transfers form the offices in Bariloche to the Hotel. Ask about special deals.
• Although this Expedition Cruise is a natural adventure, the participants and staff´s security are a priority. The boats are completely equipped and maintained for any adverse condition we may encounter. In the same way, the crew is formed of officials with vast experience doing excursions of this type. The company has the priorities of doing exciting, interesting, and different excursions with the security standards necessary for doing this type of activity.
• The service from Puerto Montt to Bariloche or viceversa may be interrupted at any point, staying more than one night at the hotel and then continuing the next day at an established time.
• The Lakes Crossing is a tourist circuit; the schedules are referential and may be changed by weather conditions and quantity of passengers.
• The maximum equipment permitted is 2 backpacks of 20 kilos each. The excess equipment will have an additional cost.
• From October to April, the Lakes Crossing may be done in a complete day, without staying at the Peulla Hotel. Check the section on rates for costs of this service.

Departures

• Early Spring - Summer Season: Departures every day. Lakes Crossing may be done in 1 day or more days.
• Autumn - Winter Season: The departures are Monday to Sunday with lodging in Peulla Hotel. Lakes Crossing may be done in 2 days or more days.

Seasons

• Autumn - Winter Season 2008: From May 01, 2008 to August 31, 2008.
• Spring - Summer Season 2008 - 2009: From September 01, 2008 to April 15, 2009.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be written, specifying the cause and assuming responsibility of the corresponding penalty. Once the reservation has been confirmed by Gotolatin, the following charges will apply for cancellations made by the passenger, according to the program departure date:

• Between 30 and 15 working days before the beginning of the program
  30% of total program value per passenger
• Between 17 and 7 working days before the beginning of the program
  60% of total program value per passenger
• Between 7 and 0 working days before the beginning of the program: No refund.
• There are no refunds for portions of the Program not used, hotel accommodations, etc.
• We recommend considering Travel Insurance for any reason.
