A long isolation, the weather, and the fusion of two towns gave the inhabitants of Chiloe a unique personality that has intrigued and attracted many mainland visitors. Its architectural
wooden structures are stunning; as is the craftsmanship of their work tools that are designed according to their needs.
Their belief system is the result of the combination between mythology and Catholicism, and it is perhaps what defines and characterizes these kind, affectionate people that feel so much
love for their island.

How to get there
From Santiago to Puerto Montt by airplane, public
transportation or car. In Puerto Montt take the
ferry crossing Chacao Channel towards the the island.
Take Highway 5 South going west you'll get to Ancud.
